Workplace bullying, also known as mobbing, is a negative phenomenon that has become increasingly normalized in society. It is characterized by the repeated, intentional behavior of an individual or group directed at an employee, which is intended to intimidate, offend, degrade, or humiliate the victim. This can take the form of verbal or physical aggression, threats, or exclusion from social or work-related activities.

Recent generations are becoming more aware of the impact of mobbing on mental and social health. It can lead to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and even suicide. It can also affect the victim's relationships with coworkers, family, and friends.

It is important that research continues to be conducted within organizations on workplace harassment. Studies have shown that women, disabled individuals, and homosexuals are particularly vulnerable to such harassment. This underscores the need for organizations to have appropriate protocols in place to address and prevent mobbing.

To ensure compliance with the law, organizations must first make the problem visible and consider how it is affecting the productivity of employees. This can involve providing training on how to prevent and handle mobbing, fostering supportive networks among employees through organizational culture, and having a mental health specialist available to address such cases.

It is also important for organizations to not just focus on prevention, but also promotion, by addressing the factors that contribute to workplace harassment and creating a positive work environment. This can involve promoting diversity and inclusion, promoting open communication and transparency, and providing support and resources for employees who may be experiencing mobbing.

In conclusion, it is crucial that organizations take steps to address and prevent mobbing, as it can have severe negative impacts on the mental and social health of employees. By promoting a positive work environment and providing support and resources for employees, organizations can create a culture that is respectful and inclusive.
