A year later: Caballos en Libertad
Article by Manuela Marques Monteiro

The topic of animal protection occasionally comes up on social media or the news but it usually only happens when deeply harmful videos of animal violence surface on the internet, or when a natural catastrophe is taking place. But the truth is that does not occur often enough to spread the necessary amount of awareness, even though violent and irresponsible acts against animals are committed daily.

That is why, in May 2022, InkuA allied with a non-profit organization that works on equines’ protection, care, and rescue. Its name is “Caballos en Libertad”, which translates to horses in freedom, and it is located in the south of La Plata, PBA, Argentina. The NGO counts on veterinarians and many other volunteers, all working towards the goal of seeing horses feeling free, happy, and without being utilized as objects. They hope to see a future free of animal cruelty.

Starting with InkuA’s Public Relations Department contacting Caballos en Libertad, we first told them about us and how we wanted to help them out offering our different members’ capabilities to be used toward the enhancement of their NGO’s reach. This is because what a non-profit needs the most is to make its efforts and results known in order to help more people and find a way to sustain a future. After some time of hard work, which included our Marketing, Design, and IT departments, an official online meeting was held in which the final proposal of changes for Caballos en Libertad was presented -which can be watched here-.

In said conference, InkuA showed the different studies and briefs they ran on the communication style the NGO had until then and presented different ways to generate more engagement on social media. The interest groups were also analyzed. For example, a “prototype” of a giveaway to post on Instagram was shown, which would ensure interaction from followers allowing the increase of attention.

In addition, all the teams worked together to come up with a whole new website for Caballos en Libertad, as well as a defined color palette for the organization to use on their social media. The style and interests of the NGO were taken into account to create a cohesive look that represented them and, most importantly, allowed them to have a stable brand image; which is crucial. The final results were also shown in the meeting.

After a year and a half since this collaboration, InkuA reached out to Caballos en Libertad asking for a statement on the experience of working with our team and how satisfied they feel with the results. Their volunteer Agustina Franconeri responded to our request for comment saying “The experience was quite enriching, the new web page and color palettes are beautiful and we use them on all our posts. Aside from that, although we’ve made some changes to adapt it to our more spontaneous use, the new communication plan is also still incredibly helpful to us”.

InkuA is more than proud to hear this is how their collaborators feel and the team hopes to establish many more successful alliances in the future.
