Women in IT Space: Developing and Thriving in Traditionally Male-Dominated Fields
In today's rapidly evolving world of IoT, AI, smartphones, smartwatches, and countless apps, the younger generation is increasingly drawn to these fields. However, the IT industry still predominantly favors men. This event aims to empower and involve women who have made contributions throughout history but often go unrecognized. We bring together two remarkable women, each making waves in their respective domains, contributing to the IT universe.
To match the technological theme, we've decided to host this event in a virtual setting using Mozilla Hub. The Virtual Reality team is delighted to invite you to the first-ever workshop titled "Developing and Thriving in Traditionally Male-Dominated Spaces."
The objective of this workshop is to equip women with the tools to navigate the tech world successfully. Our esteemed speakers will delve into the following areas: emotional intelligence, soft skills, and technical abilities. These concepts are relevant to various aspects of daily life, including work, social interactions, and family. By understanding themselves better, women can confidently face the ever-evolving world of technology and carve their paths.
We are thrilled to have two exceptional women join us, sharing their experiences and insights on thriving in this traditionally male-dominated field:
- M. Fernanda Piña Delgadillo: Final-year student of Nanotechnology Engineering, recipient of three research scholarships in Nanoscience from prestigious institutes such as CIC NanoGune in San Sebastián and ICMAB in Barcelona, Spain.
- Paulina Marín Ruiz: CEO of We for the Future in Mexico, International Speaker and TEDx Speaker, Self-awareness and Entrepreneurship Coach at Unna, and national leader of the "Inspira" youth commission under the Council of Women Entrepreneurs in Mexico.
The workshop will take place on May 25th at 18:00 (ARG time) via Mozilla Hubs.
